Radical Self-Care for Admissions Professionals

Audience:  Everyone

Description:  The demands of admissions work can be hard to juggle on a good day but when amplified by a global pandemic, mounting racial injustice and political tensions - burnout can feel unavoidable. In this session we will explore pandemic fatigue, reframe our definition of self-care and uncover strategies that will help you become a well-being leader and role model in your communities both on and off campus.

(Note: This is a discussion based workshop that will include breakout sessions.)

 After attending this workshop, you will:

• Develop a framework for understanding the implications of pandemic fatigue
• Redefine self-care and learn new strategies that can be implemented immediately
• Find community in colleagues going through shared experiences 
• Discuss how to create a workplace culture that values holistic well-being of both student and professional staff
• Receive a Certificate of Completion and online application form to submit for ACT 48 credit through PACAC. (Note: you must be registered and logged in to the LIVE Online Workshop individually for the entire time to qualify for the certificate.)
