President's Welcome
Hello, and welcome to the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC)! It is an honor to serve as President of this remarkable community of more than 1,400 dedicated, passionate, and diverse members. Together, we work to support college admission and college counseling professionals while striving to make postsecondary pathways accessible to every student across the Commonwealth. If you are new to PACAC, I encourage you to explore our Strategic Plan, which serves as the foundation for our work and reflects our commitment to students, one another, and our field. I hope you'll also discover that PACAC is more than a professional association—it's a community. Whether you're seeking professional development, opportunities for leadership and service, fresh ideas, or simply authentic human connection in a world that can often feel disconnected, you'll find people here who are eager to learn alongside you, encourage you, and celebrate your successes. One of the greatest strengths of PACAC is the relationships we build. I encourage you to explore our Mentorship Program, where experienced and emerging professionals learn from one another, and our Special Interest Groups, where members connect through shared roles, experiences, and identities. Whether you've been in college admission or college counseling for decades or are attending your very first PACAC event, there is a place for you here. And there are many other opportunities to get involved! Take a moment to check out all our Committees to find a place where your time and talent can best fit. On a personal note, PACAC has profoundly shaped both my career and my life. Since first volunteering on a committee, I have grown not only as a counselor, but as a leader and as a person. The friendships I've formed, the perspectives I've gained, and the opportunities I've been given have made me better at what I do and reminded me that none of us has to navigate this work alone. Our profession continues to face complex challenges, but I remain hopeful because of this community. When we share ideas, support one another, and work together on behalf of students, we become stronger than we could ever be individually. Thank you for being part of PACAC. I look forward to connecting with you, learning from you, and serving alongside you throughout the year. Yours in servant leadership,
