Empowering Women: A PACAC Workshop

Women in PACAC today are overextended-addicted to working, rushing and taking care of other’s needs. With wisdom, insight and humor, the presenters will lead the participants through reflection, exercises, anecdotes and discussion. The panel of multigenerational women from diverse backgrounds in admission and school counseling, will lead to informative, energetic and entertaining dialogue.

Topics within the Workshop include the following:

  • Caring for your whole self-work/life balance
  • Leadership qualities
  • Finances/pay equality and salary negotiations
  • Women of color and challenges
  • Difficult conversations/finding and owning your voice
  • Effective communication skills
  • Lifting up women
  • How to deal with bosses/supervisors/harassment
  • Networking and mentorship
  • Emotional intelligence
