Nominating counselor, Keo Oura Kounlavong-Sabath, PACAC scholarship
recipient, Acklynn Byamugisha, 2016 graduate of Harrisburg Academy,
and PACAC Scholarship Committee Member, Justin Ledesma.  Acklynn will
begin her freshman year at Providence College in the Fall of 2016.

The PACAC Scholarships are each a one-year non-renewable scholarship for high school seniors graduating from PACAC member high schools. This scholarship is intended to support a student's goal of continuing his or her education.

Multiple scholarships will be awarded in April 2017.  The top recipient will receive the $1,500 Scholarship in memory of one of our PACAC founding fathers, Benjamin James.  The other three recipients will receive a $1,000 Scholarship.

High school seniors will be selected based on:

  • Academic performance in a college prep curriculum
  • Financial need
  • Commitment to cultural and intellectual diversity
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the end of the first semester of senior year

The scholarship application will include:

  • PACAC Scholarship Application (completed by the student), due January 15, 2017. 
  • PACAC Counselor Form (completed by the high school counselor), due February 1, 2017.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Does my school need PACAC Institutional Membership?  No.  As long as at least one counselor has current 2016-2017 individual membership, then students from your school are eligible for the scholarship.
  • May more than one student from a high school apply?  Yes.  There is no limit to how many students from one school may apply.
  • Must students pay to apply?  No.  Students should never need to pay to apply for a scholarship.
