The PA Association of College Admission Counseling and the College Board have joined forces in an effort to assist secondary school counselors in their efforts to serve students. This joint program will be a combination of the College Board's Fall Counselor Workshops and PACAC's Counselor Day and College Fair programs. The programs promise to offer secondary school counselors packed days of education, information sharing, and networking.

The programs will run from 7:30 AM (7:45 AM at the University of Scranton) to approximately 3:00 PM. The morning will consist of a Fall Counselor Workshop and a college fair for secondary school counselors. The college fair will give counselors from the colleges and high schools a forum to talk one-on-one with each other. Lunch will be highlighted by a Q & A panel with college deans and directors. Following lunch, there will be additional professional development opportunities for secondary school counselors.

Program dates are as follows:

Friday, September 14, 2007       -  Elizabethtown College

Monday, September 17, 2007       -  Drexel University

Wednesday, September 19, 2007  -  University of Scranton

Friday, September 28, 2007      -  Indiana University of Pennsylvania

The college fair portion of the program will run from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM, except at the University of Scranton, where the college fair will run from 7:45 AM until 9:00 AM. It is recommended that college representatives plan on arriving at least fifteen minutes prior to set up. PACAC will be handling registration for the colleges wishing to attend the fair and the College Board will be registering high school counselors. The cost to attend the college fair is $40.
